Privacy Policy.

At Barca Transport, your personal information serves one purpose only: helping us respond to you properly and deliver your orders on time. This policy simply explains what we collect, why, and how you can stay in control of your information. It applies to this website and to any request you send us, whether through our quote form, our contact form, or by phone and email.

Who is responsible for your information

Barca Transport Inc. is responsible for collecting and protecting the personal information gathered on this site. Barry Bhoye, the company’s founder and manager, acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. For any questions, he can be reached directly at barcat.transport@gmail.com or at 438-495-7338.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and organize your deliveries.

When you fill out a form

Our quote form and our contact form collect your name, your business name, your phone number or email address (at least one of the two), and the details of your request: type of business, desired delivery frequency, areas to be served, and any details you add yourself in the notes field. Nothing more is asked, and nothing is required beyond what’s necessary to get back to you.

When you browse the site

Like most websites, our host automatically retains some basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running properly. We also use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, where they came from, device used), which helps us improve the experience and our content. We do not use any advertising or retargeting tools, such as Facebook Pixel, on this site.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your quote or contact request, usually within 24 business hours
  • Organize and confirm your deliveries once you become a partner
  • Send you a confirmation email when you submit a request
  • Improve our service based on the areas and types of businesses that contact us most often

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising purposes. Full stop.

Who your information is shared with

Your information stays in our hands, with a few technical exceptions necessary for the site to function:

  • Our web hosting provider, which hosts the site and the database where your requests are stored
  • Our email delivery service, which sends quote notifications to our team and the confirmation to you
  • Google reCAPTCHA, if we activate it to protect our forms against bots and fake submissions. In that case, Google may set its own technical cookies, under its own privacy policy
  • Google Analytics, which helps us measure site traffic in aggregate, under Google’s own privacy policy

None of these partners is authorized to use your information for its own commercial purposes.

Cookies

This site uses technical cookies needed for it to function, along with audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics), which help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate. We do not set any advertising or retargeting cookies. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.

How long we keep it

Quote and contact requests are kept for as long as necessary to process your request and ensure proper follow-up, then deleted or made anonymous after a reasonable period of inactivity, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Know what information we hold about you
  • Request a copy, correction, or deletion of that information
  • Withdraw your consent to its use, at any time
  • File a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information (Access to Information Commission) if you believe your rights have not been respected

To exercise any of these rights, simply write to us at barcat.transport@gmail.com. We respond to every request personally.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access: restricted access to incoming requests, secure hosting, and encrypted data transmission between your browser and our site. No system is 100% foolproof, but we take this responsibility seriously.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, particularly if our services or tools change. The date of the last update always appears at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically.
